  • Maui Marathon – Get Set, Run Maui! Sunday, April 21, 2024
    Themed Lahaina Town Memorial Run, the 54th annual marathon will host a new route and only include Half Marathon, 10k Run/Walk, and 5k Run/Walk.

  • Hui Noʻeau - Annual Fundraiser Benefits Visual Arts Education: Art Affair 2024 – Saturday, February 24 through Friday, March 8, 2024
    The centerʻs signature fundraising event is a two-week fundraiser featuring a variety of ways to support visual arts education programs in Maui County.

  • Maui Arts & Cultural Center – Sense  of Place / Place of Sense – Now through Saturday, March 16, 2024.  
    The experiences offered throughout the exhibition will tap into the potential for art to bring about awareness, dialogue, and connection, encouraging a deeper level of engagement with Maui and the people who have made this island home.

  • February Maui Recovery PR Marketing highlights include:
    • Hawaiʻi Tourism Canada – CORUS TV Broadcast interview at Wailuku Coffee Company.

    • San Francisco ABC-7 KGO TV was on Maui to film segments and a half-hour special featuring stories of strength and resilience of the Maui community, along with how to visit Maui respectfully.  Interviews will feature Global Empowerment Mission; Chef Hui Maui Relief; Old Lāhainā Lūʻau; Mala Tavern; and Fairmont Kea Laniʻs Piʻlina and Hale Kakuna.

    • Mālama Maui events with visiting media included: Kipuka Olowalu with six New York based media including OK Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and Shape.  Hua Momona Farms with AFAR.

  • Upcoming Media Visits/Projects:
    • In March, Maui will continue to work with media to share our Mālama Maui and “support local” messaging through individual media visits, Travel & Adventure Show and a Virtual Media Blitz. Publications highlights include Condé Nast Traveler, Forbes, TravelAge West, Fodorʻs, National Geographic Traveler, Washington Post, and Boston Globe.

  • MVCB continued the Travel & Adventure Show circuit with represntation at the Phoenix, AZ, February 17 – 18, and Washington, DC February 24 – 25.

  • Travel Agent Forum, Las Vegas – March 24 – 27.    
  • Holoholo Maui Nui Sales Blitz – Denver, CO; Portland, OR; Ontario, CA; and Westlake Village, CA, April 1 – 4.  A group mālama activity is scheduled for April 1 to volunteer at the Food Bank of the Rockies.
