Shane Nelson, TravelAgeWest, Sept. 17-23:  Shane will be visiting Maui to work on profiles for TravelAge Westʻs monthly HI E-Newsletter to travel advisor readers. He is looking to feature various hotels and activities in his profiles, based on his first-hand experiences on Maui. Shane will then be on Oʻahu (Sept. 23-27) for the Tourism Cares Meaningful FAM.  

 

Hawaii Tourism Canada Island Romance Media FAM, Oct 16 – 20.  The Maui + Kaua‘i fam will highlight all things romance, including weddings, honeymoons, couples’ getaways and vow renewals. Luxury accommodations, culinary scene, wellness experiences, lush landscapes, and unique outdoor adventures will be highlighted.  

 

The People, The Place, Maui Local Media Press Trip, September 11 – 15.  In conjunction with the Maui Marketing Campaign, this press trip to include Hawai‘i-based media, will bring this campaign to life by highlighting the values of our local community and encouraging thoughtful travel that fosters authentic connections and cultural understanding. The experiences will also include highlights from the MVCB’s Wailuku Canoe Crop Corner initiative with Wailuku First Friday, which focuses on the culture, community, farmers and local chefs of Maui.  

 

TravMedia International Media Marketplace LUXE,– Las Vegas, NV – October 1-2.  As part of the Maui Marketing Campaign, MVCB will be participating in the media event that connects international luxury travel brands and luxury goods, services, experiences, real estate, and technology PR professionals with top luxury-focused editors, journalists, and content creators. This exclusive event offers 22 prescheduled, targeted media meetings and multiple networking opportunities over two days, providing unparalleled opportunities to pitch story ideas and forge valuable collaborations.

Destination Hawai‘i Tradeshow at Wailea Beach Resort, September 10-13: Annual Tradeshow by Destination Hawai‘I focused on Meetings and Incentives business, attended by Meeting Planners most of whom have active RFPs for the islands. 

   

IMEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 5-10: Expansive meetings industry tradeshow covering all segments of the group market, attended by well over 100 countries and approximately 14,000 people, including 4,000-5,000 group travel buyers. 

 

Leisure: 

Hawai‘i Tourism Europe Luxury Fam, September 5-8:  Seven Product Managers from leading European travel agencies will be joined by a Travel Writer and representative from HT Europe visiting Maui and Kauai 

 

Hawai‘i Tourism Korea Romance Fam, September 5-8:  Senior executives from four major Korean travel agencies and a representative from HT Korea. 

 

Wholesaler Travel Advisor Fam, September 7-11:  Estimated 40 Travel Advisors plus Wholesaler team members visiting Maui for training and recognition events. 

 

Wholesaler Travel Advisor Fam, October 4-9:  Estimated 11 Travel Advisors with accompanying BDM visiting Maui and O‘ahu for island training. 

 

Hawai‘i Tourism USA Educational Blitz, October 20-24:  Island Chapter representatives along with HVCB Travel/Trade Director Robyn Basso, traveling to New Jersey, New York, Houston, and Dallas for educational sessions with Travel Advisors promoting the islands. 

 

Agency Travel Advisor Fam, October 20-22:  Estimated 7 Travel Advisors from Northeast based agency visiting Maui and O‘ahu for island training. 

 

Hawai‘i Tourism Canada AMA Travel Fam, October 29-31:  Seven to eight leading travel agents from AMA Travel in Alberta, Canada, along with representative from HT Canada visiting Maui and Oahu
