Through ʻoli, hula, mele, and storytelling, guests are immersed in the stories of the aliʻi of this land alongside personal lineage narratives connecting past, present, and future. Merrie Monarch Festival

A week-long cultural event in Hilo that includes an invitational arts fair, cultural demonstrations, hula performances, and a parade that showcases the many cultures of Hawaiʻi. The highlight of the week is a world-renowned three-day hula competition featuring some of the best hālau (hula school) from Hawaiʻi and beyond.
