Laupāhoehoe Music Festival March 7, 2026
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the Laupāhoehoe Train Museum will host the Annual Laupāhoehoe Music Festival at Laupāhoehoe Point Beach Park from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This paniolo-themed celebration brings together our community for a full day of a boot-stomping good time with live music, local food vendors, craft booths, a silent auction, and more—all in support of Laupāhoehoe Community Public Charter School and Laupāhoehoe Train Museum programs.
Entertainment will feature Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning artists Kalaʻe and Kalena, along with LCPCS Kumu Todd Otake (also known as Todd with the Crooked Hat) and his LCPCS music students. Additional performers include Eʻlele Tiana, Kūhiō Travis, Chase Wood, and Tommy Hanohano and friends, with line dancing throughout the day.
This family-friendly event is rain or shine, alcohol- and drug-free, with no coolers and no dogs permitted.

Experience Kona’s spirit in celebrating the 31st Craft Beer Anniversary on local culture and community in Hawai’i. Kona Brewers Festival: The Kona Brewers Festival is an annual fundraising event that celebrates the love of craft beer, delicious cuisine, live music, and the unique culture of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Established in 1996, the beloved community event has become a cherished tradition, attracting visitors and locals alike. Proceeds from the festival support local nonprofits focused on environment, youth, sustainability, and culture, making a positive impact for the Hawai’i Island community.

Big Island International Marathon, March 15th, 2026
This run goes along the old coast of Hawai’i Island. The marathon is two out-and-backs starting at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and finishing back at the same hotel. PACKET PICKUP and the EXPO are the day before the race on March 14th, 2026, from 9am to 5pm at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. The course opens at 6am and closes at 1pm. Runners can still get a finisher's medal if we are still there, but the timer stops at 1pm.
