HVCB Central and the Island Chapters conducted two sales blitzes in January and March in seven cities reaching 345 travel advisors prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Since then, events have pivoted to virtual platforms and webinars.  Most recently, HVCB conducted a virtual educational event Nov 19-20 featuring 26 supplier partners and attended by 1,099 travel advisors across two days.  The event included destination and supplier presentations and a resource hub with web links, brochures, and videos that advisors will have access to for up to six months.

The travel agent database currently has more than 86,000 email addresses for us to reach out via email communication. We have provided timely communications regarding the ongoing Safe Travels program, pre-travel testing protocols, and all pertinent health and safety information to those in our travel agent database on an ongoing basis.

The Travel Trade team also continues to promote the Imi Loa (Explore Hawaii) self-guided FAM Organizer program.  Members can provide special offers for qualified travel advisors that have invested in completing all six courses of the Hawaii Destination Specialist Program.  This program has been included in the EXTP newsletter, highlighted on the travel advisor website at and shared at travel trade in-person and virtual events and webinars.

The benefits of continued membership with HVCB allows us to partner with you in communicating your business updates (re-opening news, etc) as well as special offers to travel advisors across the U.S. to help them assist their clients with getting to and experiencing the Hawaiian Islands.
