team continues to strive through 2003 with creativity and dedication to position
the Island of O‘ahu as the leading destination for diversity.

Sales Team Together with HVCB and the ODS Ohana
spreads O‘ahu's message to many!
Every
July the OVB participates with HVCB and its sister
islands in support of the Aloha Midwest Ohana Summerfest
travel trade events. 2003 activities consisted of a
variety of trade components including the Aloha Airlines
Golf Tournament, Apple Vacations Supplier Appreciation
Dinner, Aloha Summerfest trade shows; first in New
York and a second show in Chicago, staff training at
Mark Travel Corporation in Milwaukee, and retail Travel
Agency sales call blitz in Chicago. Over the course
of the two trade shows, OVB placed over 7,100 O‘ahu
collateral pieces in the hands of the region's most
loyal Hawaii travel sellers. Also while in Chicago,
OVB launched its new "O‘ahu-Where Family Fun Begins"
Travel Agent Training Seminar to more than 100 agents
that were scheduled to attend.
Simultaneously, the OVB O‘ahu Destination Specialist Ohana are continuing to
carry O‘ahu's message to the consumer market.
Highlights of their programs include the American Legion
Post Hawaiian Luau (Bel Air, MD), the Ft. Lewis Golf
Tournament (Ft. Lewis, WA), Teel Travel presentation
at Border’s
Book Store (Corvallis, OR) and the Ambassador Travel
Grand Opening/Hawaii Night (Ft. Collins, CO). The "personal
touch" of our ODS partners reached 2,300 consumers
in just four events.

OVB Japan Team Participate in a Successful Ohana Mission
The
OVB's Japan team, including Les Enderton, Executive
Director of the O‘ahu Visitors Bureau and Benjamin
Lee, Managing Director of the
City and County of Honolulu were a part of the delegates that traveled to Japan
for the Ohana Mission at the beginning of July. Meeting
with Japan's major airlines, travel agents, business
leaders and media, the Ohana Mission was deemed a success
as many Japan industry leaders have offered positive
feedback and believe that Hawaii is leading the recovery
for traveling abroad.

OVB
Continues to Promote O‘ahu to the European market
The OVB Marketing Team is continuing to work closely with VoxTV, the nationwide
private broadcaster in Cologne Germany that sent VOXTOURS, the travel magazine
of Vox TV to O‘ahu in June. VoxTV is planning to send "Wolkenlos," a travel
show that receives 1 million viewers to O‘ahu for filming in September. "Wolkenlos,"
will showcase the Island of O‘ahu in a 30-minute Hawaii feature which will
air at the end of 2003 on Saturday at 5pm and will receive two repetitions
during the following two weeks. OVB is also working closely with BBC in trying
to bring them out to O‘ahu later this year for a travel special program.
OVB has also embarked in a partnership with Trader Vic's in Hamburg and CANUSA
(German wholesaler) in a summer long promotion in the popular Polynesian
themed establishment. The promotion, starting at the end of June and continuing
through September, includes a special O‘ahu "Tiki Time" weekly and
a special O‘ahu month (September) where information on O‘ahu and special
packages for O‘ahu are being offered throughout the promotion period to patrons
of Trader Vic's. It also includes press coverage.

OVB Generates Interest in 2004 Travel Planner
The
OVB Marketing Team in conjunction with Myriad Travel
Marketing has sent out the O‘ahu Travel Planner prospectus,
creating a valuable opportunity for travel related
businesses to participate in 2004. The OVB plans to
print and distribute a total of 150,000 planners that
will be included in all OVB fulfillment packages in
