The Big Island Visitors Bureau Hit the Road Seeking Spring and Fall Business

The Big Island Visitors Bureau partnered with Hilton Waikoloa Village, Waikoloa Beach Marriott, Ohana Keauhou Beach Hotel, SunQuest Vacations, Kona Beach House and Hawaii Naniloa Resort at the Seattle Travel Show. BIVB followed up with a Hawaii's Big Island Showcase (travel agent seminars and dinner with presentations by participating vendors) for Expedia reservations agents and to travel agents in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

To promote the lucrative meetings, conventions and incentive markets, the Big Island Visitors Bureau was pitching the destination at two trade conferences this month-the Professional Convention Management Association in Indianapolis and the Meeting Planners International in San Antonio.

The public relations team headed to the Big Apple on a media blitz to boost destination editorial coverage with two media functions and individual media calls to print and broadcast media including Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Departures, National Geographic Adventure, Food and Wine magazine and Emeril Live.
