HONOLULU – The readers of Recommend magazine named Hawaii the “Best Selling Destination” in North America in its 13th Annual Reader’s Choice Awards. The fill-in survey asked participants to note their top choices in a number of categories, including airlines, rental car, rail, cruises, destinations, and hotels and resorts, and global distribution systems (GDS).

HVCB LAUNCHES MONTH-LONG SEATTLE CAMPAIGN TO BOOST WINTER/SPRING TRAVEL

HONOLULU – On October 1, the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB), with the support, guidance and funding of the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA), launched an intensive month-long integrated marketing campaign in Seattle, with offshoots in Portland and Vancouver, to boost winter and spring travel to Hawaii from the Pacific Northwest.

“A DAY OF HAWAII SMILES” BRINGS MUSIC, CUISINE, AND FUN FROM THE ISLANDS TO THE GROVE

The people of Hawaii are bringing the Aloha Spirit to Los Angeles with two fun-filled Saturdays themed “A Day of Hawaii Smiles” at The Grove. The free activities feature hula lessons and entertainment by the Polynesian Cultural Center, picture taking at the Big Wave photo station, arts and crafts, island cuisine, and a marketplace highlighting Hawaii-made products.

HAWAII CELEBRATES LEI DAY AT THE GROVE WITH HAWAIIAN MUSIC AND DANCE

The people of Hawaii invite Los Angeles residents to “escape” to the Hawaiian Islands as it celebrates Lei Day at The Grove sharing the aloha spirit with two-hours of Hawaiian entertainment, including hula (dance) shows by Kawailanamalie Productions and hula lessons. This interactive Aloha Friday lunchtime event will feature former Miss Aloha Hula Malia Petersen and her halau (dance group) in a colorful and engaging cultural exchange.
